In contrast to the original model, it contains an improved circuit with high-quality components, which further enhances the noble and characteristic sound of the Saturn. An absolute special feature of the Saturn 2 is its total of 9 different directional characteristics, each of which can be adjusted using the rotary knob on the front. These are five basic characteristics such as omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure-of-eight, as well as four additional intermediate positions for even better adjustment. This feature means that the Saturn 2 can be used in any recording situation. The LEDs on the front also visually indicate to user which polar pattern is currently set. Everything for the perfect sound To make recording as pleasant as possible, the Saturn 2 microphone has high-quality components as well as a high-pass filter with flat, 75Hz and 125Hz settings, which reduces low-frequency interference signals, and a PAD that can be used to preattenuate the signal by either -10dB or -20dB if the signal source is very loud. Finally, high sensitivity at a low noise level and a pleasantly soft treble range make the Saturn 2 the perfect microphone for various recording situations. What is needed? To operate the Saturn 2, a phantom power supply of 48V is required, which is fed directly to the microphone via the XLR cable from the interface or Preamp . The scope of delivery includes an XLR cable, a sturdy transport case that protects the microphone from damage and the Sontronics Shockmount System, which gives the microphone a firm hold.
