It comes factory-equipped with Remo drumheads and black brushed hardware. Halo Mounting System: Mapex SE628XM Saturn Evolution The innovative Halo Mounting System on both Saturn Evolution rack toms delivers exceptionally resonant fundamental tones. This side-mounted isolation mount suspends the shells at the lugs, allowing each drum to fully realize its sonic potential. A new feature is the Adjustment Knob on each shell, which acts as a manual equalizer-the further you turn it, the drier the sound becomes. Hybrid Shells with adjusted shell thickness and Design-Lab features. The maple/walnut hybrid shells are made from eight plies, with thickness adjusted to each drum's diameter. The kit includes proven Mapex features like SONIClear™ bearing edges, Sonic Saver hoops, and Remo drumheads.
