Accordingly, the US-made E-Bass offers tried-and-tested specifications in the form of traditional tonewoods, flexible active electronics and traditional dimensions that evoke the typical sound, look and playability of the StingRay Bass . The Music Man StingRay Special 4 is naturally manufactured in San Luis Obispo, California and comes in a matching hardshell Case. Ergonomic StingRay design The StingRay Special 4 offers an elegantly contoured body made from selected hardwoods, which is connected to the roasted maple neck via the 5-point sculpted neck joint. This offers a slim C-profile for a comfortable playing position of the fretting hand in all positions and also has a particularly supple wax and oil-based Gun Stock Oil Finish, which allows particularly fast and resistance-free position changes from headstock to neck heel. Music Man neodymium humbucker & active electronics It goes without saying that the Music Man StingRay Special 4 MN Black offers the same rich bass boost for which the model has been appreciated for almost five decades. For this purpose, an in-house Music Man neodymium humbucker is used in the bridge position, which shines with a wide dynamic range and balanced frequency spectrum. The 18-volt active electronics, which are also on board, provide plenty of headroom and have an additional 3-band equalizer that allows the bass, mids and treble to be boosted or cut.
