A heat-treated torrefied Sitka spruce top is enthroned on a body of beautiful flamed maple and consequently delivers a balanced and powerful sound. The torrefaction makes this Grand Auditorium intonate like a guitar that has been played in for years, while the Taylor patented V-Class bracing provides more dynamics, more Sustain and a more powerful tone. In addition, the Gotoh 510 Gold Patina tuners securely hold tuning, while the compensated micarta saddle delivers clean intonation and flat string action. For visual appeal, Scepter Mother or Pearls have been lovingly hand-implemented into the fretboard. For stage use, the in-house developed ES-2 pickup system transmits the guitar's outstanding sound to the amplifier with natural dynamics and balance, while an armrest provides comfortable player ergonomics.
