Focal's Sub12 offers a very high level of definition, dynamics and sub-bass. It features a long-throw woofer that delivers up to 1000 watts of peak amplification. This 13-inch wo ofer features a very deep bass response and very low distortion and, thanks to its efficient design, provides powerful bass that is both defined and cleanly articulated. A good cabinet is half the battle! The enclosure design features optimized bracing and reinforcements, as well as a front-facing bass reflex port based on the Trio11 monitors, but with additional internal and external protrusions to reduce mechanical noise and distortion. There are large handles on the sides of the cabinet to make it easier for two people to move the 58kg unit. What adjustments does the Sub 12 offer? The bass management controls on the back of the Sub12 allow you to set the perfect low-end settings for any system setup, thanks to variable low-pass & high-pass filters, as well as a continuously variable Phansen control. The rear panel also features switches for polarity, +4dBu or -10dBv sensitivity, auto standby bypass, and an additional LFE input next to the L/R stereo inputs. The Sub12 also features Focal's footswitch control input, which can be used to switch one or more Sub12 units connected in series.
