Peak features besides the analogically sounding NCOs (Numerically Controlled Oscillators) over 17 additional digital wavetables that can both be used as a linear FM source. Peak can easily be integrated into any home studio thanks to CV, MIDI and USB connectivity. This polyphonic synthesizer has an analogue resonance multimode filter and three distortion points (before the filter, behind and globally) in the analogue signal chain per voice. The polyphonic aftertouch is complemented by high-quality reverb, delay and chorus effects. An integrated arpeggiator opens up further musical possibilities. The modulation matrix of the Novation Peak has 16 slots and 16 direct assignments that are controlled from the front. The arrangement is selected so intuitive patching and sound processing is easy. Each peak can access three ADSR envelopes and two LFOs. At the push of a button the synth sounds can be set in motion. The Animate buttons allow live performers to change their patches with just one touch. Novation Peak can be integrated into any modular system via the CV modulation input but external MIDI hardware connectivity is also possible thanks to five-pole MIDI I/O jacks. The connection to PC and Mac is possible via USB.
