In terms of design, Jackson relies on a Poplar body with Quilted Maple top, which thanks to the extended upper horn achieves a perfect balance for the strap, while the bolt-on Maple neck with a "Speed Neck" profile and Laurel fingerboard allows comfortable playing for hours. 2x Jackson Humbuckers promise a thick Bass tone with growling low-end, whilst the active 3-band equalization allows for easy and precise adjustment. A push/pull switch on the Volume control switches to a classic Passive mode if required and a mini-switch for split-coil sounds. The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q features a Jackson HiMass bridge and precise Jackson Die-Cast tuners.
