A fine-grained Sitka spruce top and mahogany body produce warm mids and clear trebles, making this instrument from the "Inspired by Gibson" collection excellent for expressive strumming and also fine picking. A short mahogany neck with an Indian-Laurel fingerboard allows for an obliging grip of the 20 frets, which in combination with a compensated bridge inlay and a 43 mm wide bone nut intonate cleanly in all registers. Like the original, the Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" Hummingbird ANA Aged Antique Natural features gold keystone tuners, split-parallelogram mother-of-pearl inlays and the signature tortoise pickguard with hummingbird that is the instrument's namesake.
