You can find the monitor for the right side here: HEDD Type 20 MK2 R black The HEDD Type 20 MK2 L is a 3-way studio monitor with AMT tweeter and many adjustment options. Thus, the integrated DSP offers the possibility to optimally adjust the speakers to the spatial conditions via the controls on the back of the speaker. Since the DSP works completely digital, HEDD offers its customers in addition to the classic analog XLR input also a digital AES/EBU input. The advantage of this digital interface is obvious, because it saves two DA/AD conversion steps. On the one hand, the digital signal from the interface does not have to be converted into an analog signal and on the other hand, the studio monitor does not have to convert the analog signal back into a digital signal, which it needs for the use of the integrated DSP. Guarantor for a clean treble reproduction: The Hedd AMT. 3-way near- to midfield monitor As usual with 3-way systems, the Type 20 Mk2 also deliver a more high-resolution midrange spectrum than their relatives with only two speakers. Due to their extremely powerful tri-amping power amplifier, they are suitable not only as nearfield but also as midfield monitors. A very steep filter quality (48dB/oct) at the crossover frequencies of the speakers, together with the in-house linearizer, ensures here that the phase positions of the 3 different speakers do not get into each other's way. All DSP functions including Hedd Lineariser can be conveniently set on the rear panel. Absolutely true to phase! In addition to many adjustment possibilities in the frequency range, HEDD has also thought about the problems in the phase position, which are inherent in every speaker. Thus, the experience already gained with the HEDD Lineariser plug-in has been used and firmly implemented in the studio monitors. On the digital level, the loudspeaker-specific nonlinearities in the phase position are corrected and thus an absolutely phase-true output is guaranteed. The user is free to use the linearizer as he wishes. It can be deactivated on the back of the HEDD Type 20 MK2 L loudspeaker if required. This is especially useful when recording, since a playback latency of 10-20ms results when the linearizer is switched on, which could disturb the musician while playing. Bass reflex or closed?
