Fat Clean sound and rich overdrive The Darkglass Vintage Ultra v2 pedal delivers a solid clean sound whose organic dynamics and harmonic richness bring the bass signal to life and evoke clear associations with a high-voltage tube circuit. Furthermore, the preamp offers a separately switchable overdrive unit that covers the spectrum between fat Overdrive and rich Distortion. The "Drive" control can be used to determine the intensity of the distortion, while "Blend" mixes in the clean signal to achieve pressure and definition. Versatile tone control The sound of the Darkglass Electronics Vintage Ultra can be precisely adjusted using the 4-band tone control, with the semi-parametric mid-bands allowing the character-shaping frequencies to be significantly influenced. Furthermore, two typical Darkglass switches, "Grunt" and "Attack", are available. While Grunt determines the saturated bass components in the signal, Attack can be used to give the signal more presence or remove sharpness, depending on the other equipment used.
