Martin Guitars DX Johnny Cash Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar (Black) The Martin Guitars DX Johnny Cash (Black) is a 6-String Electro-Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar designed to reflect the relationship between the luxury Guitar maker and the legendary musician. In the early 1970s Martin was commissioned to design a completely Black D-35 for country star Johnny Cash. Cash played this model on stage for the next 20 years. In 2006 the Johnny Cash Special Edition was reissued. Martin now produces this variant with a classic Dreadnought body-shape and the Black finish retained. The star inlays on the Fingerboard and signature through the Rosette remind of the original model, however the body of this version is made of HPL (High Pressure Laminate), which produces the world-famous warm Martin sound. A compensated Bridge inlay made of Graph Tech TUSQ ensures clean intonation and a flat string position, while the Performing Artist Neck profile provides a pleasant playing feel. The Martin DX Johnny Cash is made suitable for the stage with the Fishman MX-T Pick-Up, which transmits the sound of the guitar with natural balance to the amplifier. Last but not least, a gig bag is already included.
