Based on the classic semi-acoustic construction, the electric guitar features a particularly compact body made of laminated maple, which is reinforced by a center block and shapes the sound with a warm and dynamic timbre. Thanks to Hagstrom's signature H-Expander tension rod, the glued maple neck offers a particularly flat "Slim D" profile for extremely agile playability across the entire Resinator Wood fingerboard. Two Hagstrom HJ-50 humbuckers with Alnico V magnets skillfully capture the sound character of the semi-acoustic electric guitar and convince at the guitar amplifier with first-class blues and rock sounds, whose lively dynamics support expressive electric guitar playing. Last but not least, the Hagstrom Alvar is equipped with a Hagstrom Longtravel Tune-O-Matic bridge, a beautiful trapeze tailpiece and precise Hagstrom tuners with 18:1 ratio.
