Constructed from the finest AA mahogany woods, the instrument produces warm tones, which are particularly prominent in the bass and mid-range frequencies. Thanks to a razor-thin open-pore finish and a lightweight construction, the Furch Blue D-MM impresses with its quick attack and a long-lasting tone that fades away softly in the overtones. To ensure excellent playability, the manufacturer uses a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, which, in conjunction with the 45 mm nut width and 649 mm scale length, allows for a clean and comfortable grip in all 20 frets. Chrome-plated die-cast tuners with a 1:18 transmission ratio allow precise tuning of the 6 steel strings, which, thanks to a compensated saddle made of Graph Tech TUSQ, intonate cleanly in all positions. The instrument is rounded off by a high-quality L.R. Baggs VTC pickup system, which amplifies and reproduces the natural sound of the Furch Blue D-MM dreadnought and can be individually adjusted via a volume and tone poti in the sound hole.
