In the form of the Rodec - BUNK 01, its legendary phono/line preamplifier and equalizer are now available again in a new, appealing configuration. Hi-fi fans will not only appreciate the generous sound stage with precise imaging and warm, detailed reproduction, but also the visually appealing solid wood housing, designed and manufactured by Dutch wooden furniture designer Eletta Daemen. Rodec has further developed the technology and added a second, discrete phono stage alongside the popular input stage of the MX-180. This second phono stage offers a deeper and more relaxed sound as an alternative to the typical MX-180 sound, which perfectly complements the Rodec stage originally designed more for parties. You can switch between the two phono stages at the touch of a button. An additional gain of +20 dB has also been added so that quieter records and pickup systems can be easily adjusted to the desired level. This gain can be set via a dip switch on the circuit board. The reissued EQ of the original MX-180 offers a wide control range of +/- 12 dB in the three frequency bands Low, Mid and High, thus enabling a wide variety of sound shaping. The sound always remains musical and is used for optimum output and adjustment of the audio material. The Rodec BUNK 01 is also available in three other colors. HOMAGE TO THE MX-180 SERIES In the early 1980s, the RODEC SoundMachines SM200 and SM300 shaped the pro audio market. Their successors were the MX series models, with the MX18, introduced in 1986, quickly becoming the "reference" in the DJ sector and still serving as a model for modern professional mixers today. The MX180, the successor to the MX18, was launched in 1990 and its main innovations were a crossfader and an XLR master output.
