It is factory-fitted with Remo heads and chrome-plated Hardware . Halo Mounting System: Mapex SE628XM Saturn Evolution The innovative Halo Mounting System, which is installed on both Saturn Evolution rack toms, enables an incomparably resonant basic sound. This side-mounted isolation mount uses a suspension system under the lugs, allowing each shell on the Saturn Evolution drum kit to realize its full sound potential. Another new feature is the Adjustment Knob, a knob on each shell. This acts as a manual equalizer, the further the adjustment knob is turned, the drier the sound becomes. Hybrid shells with adapted shell thickness and Design-Lab features The Maple/Walnut Hybrid Shells consist of eight layers whose thickness has been adapted to the diameter of the drum. Proven features such as Mapex SONIClear™ Bearing Edges, Mapex Sonic Saver Hoops and heads from Remo are of course also available in the Mapex Saturn Evolution series.
