The concept of the Pearl Reference One series provides an individual shell construction depending on the size of the shell. Depending on the drum, the ideal wall thickness, burr and type of wood is selected to achieve the best sound. This shell set consists of a 22"×16" bass drum (6 plies mahogany and 2 plies maple), a 10"×7" tom (4 plies maple and 2 plies birch), a 12"×8" tom (6 plies maple) and a 16"×16" floor tom (4 plies mahogany and 2 plies maple). The innovative R2Air tom mount with 7/8" pipes improves the sound and enables pure vibration behavior along with perfect adjustment options.
