With the Fender 70th Anniversary Vintera II Antigua Stratocaster, the popular Vintera II series receives an anniversary model for the 70th birthday of the Stratocaster. Seventies-style Strat construction The 70th Anniversary Vintera II Antigua Stratocaster follows the design that has been tried and tested for over seven decades and offers unmistakable features of a CBS Era Strat from the seventies. The alder body and maple neck are connected via a triple neck joint including Micro-Tilt Adjustment System, while the 70th Anniversary neckplate refers to the special occasion of this instrument. The '70s "U" profile of the maple neck also remains classic in the style of the Seventies and ensures familiar playability on the 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. 70th Anniversary Vintage-Style '70s Single-Coils Three pickups specially developed for the model are used on the Fender 70th Anniversary Vintera II Antigua Stratocaster. The three 70th Anniversary Vintage-Style '70s single coils in the neck, middle and bridge positions provide the full sound spectrum of the Stratocaster and a healthy balance between characterful warmth and the clearly defined bite for which the Stratocaster has always been appreciated. The wiring also remains classic and consists of a pickup selector switch with five positions, a common master volume and two tone controls.
