Active 2x18" subwoofer with 4000W peak power Active 2x18" subwoofer as support for VANTEC series 2-way models The VANTEC-218A is a very powerful active 2 x 18" subwoofer in bass-reflex design. With its signal routing including variable low-pass filter designed in Stereo it is the ideal bass extension to the VANTEC 2-way models. Equipped with two DAS Audio 18LX, a for this class exceptional 18" woofer with 4" voice coil and very high excursion, the VANTEC-18A offers a very wide frequency range from 30Hz at a maximum level of 140dB. The integrated Class-D power amplifier with switching power supply provides 4000W/peak and is controlled by the powerful 24-bit DSP, which offers two presets (deep/loud) and a variable crossover frequency of 80-125Hz. The signal routing is two-channel, the outputs can be switched as parallel output or with high-pass filter. By means of the polarity switch, the phase can be rotated by 180° for adjustment to mid/high frequencies or acoustic room modes. The professionally engineered enclosure is made of birch plywood and coated with the very robust ISO-flex™ polyurethane coating. It features M10 mounting points, 5 transport handles, two transport wheels and a flange for spacer bars on the top. The illumination of the front logo can be switched off. The mains connection is made via PowerCon incl. output. Thanks to the efficient switching power supply output stage, up to 6 units can be operated on one 16A line.
