Consisting of a 12 "x8" tom, a 14 "x12" floor tom and a 20 "x14" Bass drum, it offers classic dimensions and an excellent vintage look. The shells consist of nine layers of beech and are constructed using the "CLTF"(Cross Laminated Tension Free) method. The perfect Vintage sound from Sonor is provided by the round shell ridge in combination with single-ply Remo heads. The Sonor teardrop heads are modelled after the sixties, but are equipped with modern Tune Safe technology. The Vintage Series shells: Teak Semi Gloss The shells of the Sonor Vintage Series Three 20 WM are glued from a total of 9 layers of beech wood using the "CLTF" (Cross Laminated Tension Free) process to create a perfect instrument. This gives them a total thickness of 6 mm, first-class conditions for an excellent sound and perfect playing feel. Despite the thin walls, Sonor beech shells do not require additional reinforcement rings. The round burr of the Vintage shells ensures maximum head-to-shell contact, whereby the vibrations are better transmitted to the shell and tuning is made easier. This also gives the sound an extra portion of warmth, clarity and a short sustain.
