Digital 16 x 16 Dante break-in/break-out box UNiKA's NBB-1616 is a digital 16 x 16 Dante Break In / Break Out Box that allows multichannel audio to be distributed bidirectionally via Ethernet cables and switches. Audionate Dante network technology is used, while the NB-1616 supports up to Layer 3 of the IEEE 802.3 network standard. The easy integration and routing of the Bbox into your audio network is done via the free Dante Controller software, which is available free of charge on the Audinate website. The Virtual Soundcard software is used to record and play back multitrack audio on all UNiKA Dante boxes in combination with your DAW (digital audio workstation). The conversion takes place in 24 bits with up to 192kHz. No matter which input you use and work with line or microphone level - phantom power, pad, phase inversion and metering with clip hold function are available at any time. Thanks to the two built-in Ethernet ports, even several NBB-1616/e can be cascaded. As a stagebox, the system transmits audio directly from and to all Dante-enabled audio consoles or workstations. Using the P2P pairing button on the back of the unit, two NBB-1616s can also be paired to form a digital snake that transmits bi-directional audio data over a standard Ethernet cable without the need for a console or computer. With a total of 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs (expandable via extension box for doubling) even larger setups can be realized quickly and easily. UNiKA NBB-1616 Overview 16 x 16 fully digitized break-in/break-out box Dante-capable networked breakbox or stagebox in the network Streaming audio over a rugged standard Ethernet cable (alias Digital Snake) Supports Layer 3 of the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard, i.e. Streaming via Layer-3 Ethernet Switch is possible. Easy organization of network topology with a standard Ethernet switch Redundant network mode for fault-tolerant audio distribution, or Daisy chain network mode for easy expansion of coverage Audio routing can be set using a Dante-enabled audio console, or Dedicated Dante Controller Software for Windows and Mac OS 24-bit PCM encoding with sampling rate up to 192 kHz PPM meter with clip holder for input/output level monitoring Option to double the channel capacity with an expansion box AES3 Digital I/O expansion box available on request
