Plug-Out Synthesizer Roland's SYSTEM-8 is an 8-fold polyphonic analogue modelling synthesizer with many creative possibilities. Thanks to the Analogue Circuit Behaviour technology (ACB) the plug-out synthesizer can authentically recreate legendary vintage synthesizers that can then be stored internally in the plug-OUT slots. As an 8x polyphonic analogue modelling synthesizer the System-8 provides a sound engine to boost analogue synth sounds to a new level - with three highly flexible oscillators, high-resolution filters and versatile LFOs. The System-8 is a synthesizer for classic analogue sounds, but it can also make fresh modern sounds. Roland's plug-out technology makes it possible for those who want to play iconic software synthesizers do so without powerful audio calculators and extensive MIDI controllers. As a plug-in synthesizer emulation Jupiter-8 and Juno-106 can be used to install two Roland synthesizers in the System-8 and then play without an audio computer. Of course the System-8 can still be sent directly to a DAW for a more modern approach. Indeed, integration to a DAW via USB audio/MIDI connectivity offers many control options and control information can be exchanged with other instruments and devices using this method. With the Roland System-8 you can again feel the advantage of using a hardware synthesizer. The control panel is filled with many controls, buttons and faders and makes playing and creating synthesizer sounds very intuitive and expressive. The latter support the filters whose sound characteristics are very dynamic thanks to Roland's Analogue Circuit Behaviour. In addition to the classic analogue filters, the Roland system-8 also has the sideband filter, as is known from Roland's V-Synth. The sounds are rounded off with numerous effects, including overdrive, fuzz, delay, echo, chorus, reverb and much, much more.
