The special aluminum speakers are capable of very fast and dry signal reproduction. This makes the system highly recommendable for mastering and an optimal complement to possibly already existing speakers of the Amphion One or Two series, to which it does not act as a subwoofer in the ears of the user, but turns them into a fully-fledged 3-way system. Thanks to its brilliant impulse and phase response, the Flexbase25 is even suitable for rooms with little acoustic optimisation. Premium class stereo subwoofer system The Amphion Flexbase25 adds an active stereo subwoofer with 700W power amplifier and crossover to any monitor or speaker system. For ease of use, the active elements are housed in a separate 19" cabinet and can be rack-mounted together with the main power amplifier. In addition to active frequency separation, the system allows the connection of a separate LFE channel, making it suitable for processing surround mixes and film scores. Controls on the power amp crossover combination also allow convenient adjustment of subwoofer level, crossover frequency and stereo width. An additional subwoofer can be connected to the LFE output if two separate systems are to be used for even more spatial imaging of the bass range.
