The ORBIT.4 LE FX impresses with its clear layout and offers everything you would expect from a classic rotary mixer in terms of functionality. Each channel is equipped with a pre/post switchable Aux Send control with which the signal can be sent to the internal effects section of an external effects unit. Trim is used to set the signal source to the ideal level. There is a finely tuned high-pass filter for EQ. Cue sends the channel to the pre-listening section. The final level of the channel is set using the large, easy-to-grip level control. The mixer is equipped with a digital effects processor, which can be used to easily create sophisticated voltage curves. The preferred effect is selected with the EFFECT control, all possible settings are made with TIME and PARAMETER, which function differently depending on the algorithm. Only the RETURN control has the same function for all programs. The Analogue Delay, BPM Delay, Reverb Verb, Tech Verb, Flanger, Phaser, Bit Crusher and DJ Filter effects are partly based on the tempo of the music. This is entered automatically via Auto BPM Detection or manually with the Tap Tempo button. To quickly switch to the original sound, press the Bypass button. Everything comes together in the master section: the levels for the main output and Booth can be set separately. The return control, which is used to mix in the internal effects section or an external effects unit, and the controls for the pre-listening section can also be found here. Who needs colorful LED chains when the eye can enjoy a classic stereo VU meter for level display! The master section is rounded off by the 4-band isolator, which makes any nuanced or drastic intervention in the sound a pure pleasure.
