Made in Japan from high-quality Cromova18 stainless steel, it features an acute 15-degree cutting edge and a Rockwell hardness rating of C56-58, ensuring long-lasting sharpness and performance. Designed by Komin Yamada, the G-6 has a large handle and an 18cm blade with a rounded blunt end, allowing for clean cuts without catching or nicking, especially useful when working close to the bone on meats like chicken or duck. Though listed as a slicer knife, its size and shape make it a reliable all-rounder in the kitchen.
