It comes factory-equipped with Remo heads and chrome-plated hardware. Halo Mounting System: Mapex SE628XM Saturn Evolution The innovative Halo Mounting System, which is installed on both Saturn Evolution rack toms, enables an incomparably resonant fundamental sound. This side-mounted isolation mount uses a suspension system under the lugs, so each shell on the Saturn Evolution drum kit realizes its full sonic potential. Another new feature is the Adjustment Knob, a knob on each shell. This acts as a manual equalizer, the further the Adjustment Knob is turned, the drier the sound. Hybrid Shells with adjusted shell thickness and Design-Lab features The Maple/Walnut Hybrid Shells consist of eight plies whose thickness has been adjusted to the diameter of the drum. Proven features such as Mapex SONIClear™ Bearing Edges, Mapex Sonic Saver Hoops and heads from Remo are of course also present in the Mapex Saturn Evolution series.
