The hybrid tom and floor tom shells are each made of 6 plies and are 6 mm thick (4 plies birch and 2 plies maple). The bass drum is made of 7 plies (5 plies birch and 2 plies maple) with a total thickness of 7 mm. The black nickel hardware also pairs exceptionally well with the green finish. Structure By combining these two woods, the Starclassic hybrid shells deliver the clear projection of birch, perfectly blended with the deep warmth of maple. All heads are by Evans, and the reliable Star-Cast mounting system for tom suspension is also included. Like all Starclassic series kits, the Performer series features professional cast iron hoops.
