Woods While the mahogany body in typical PRS design carries a maple top with an elegant shallow violin carve and figured maple veneer, the glued maple neck offers optimal playing characteristics over all 24 frets of its rosewood fingerboard due to the convenient "Wide Thin" profile. Pickups and Hardware The PRS TCI "S" humbuckers are optimally matched to the PRS SE Custom 24-08 Vintage Sunburst in terms of capacity and inductivity, delivering well-balanced clean and overdrive sounds that make every note heard with harmonious articulation. Each pickup is equipped with its own coil-split switch for transparent single-coil sounds, so that the electric guitar, in combination with the traditional 3-way switching, offers a total of eight characterful tones.
