This unique module emulates the frequency ranges of vowels (A, E, I, O, U), imprinting these distinct vocal characteristics onto any incoming signal, resulting in an organic, humanoid sound. The Fala Versio builds on this concept with added features to enhance its versatility. The signal path begins with a wavefolder that introduces harmonic richness and added bite to the sound. This is followed by the core formant filter, which incorporates 24 bandpass filters, 3 all-pass filters, and a dynamic control system for complex tonal shaping. After the filtering stage, a saturator gives you the flexibility to choose between smooth, soft tones or harder, more aggressive sounds. The resonance control further fine-tunes the filter to intensify the desired character. For additional modulation, the onboard LFO can be synced to a clock, providing sine or noise wave modulation for the filters. With seven control voltage (CV) inputs and a clock input, the Fala Versio offers comprehensive modulation capabilities, allowing for deep customization and automation of the sound design process.
