The reissue model combines the unmistakable DNA of the original from 1981 with some modernized features that give the Victory its slim design, extremely nimble playability and powerful yet versatile sound options. These features make the Victory the perfect instrument for high-performance shredders and guitarists who don't want to compromise. Naturally, the Gibson Victory comes in a matching hardshell Case. With the Gibson Victory Figured Top Smokehouse Burst, Gibson is reissuing the slim Victory design of the early eighties. Double cut body & Explorer headstock For unrestricted playability and the best playability on longer gigs and sessions, the mahogany body with two-piece AA curly maple top has a particularly slim design. The beveling of the upper body edge provides a comfortable armrest, while the two wide cutaways allow unrestricted access to the highest fretboard positions. In contrast to the model from the early 1980s, this Gibson Victory Reissue model has an Explorer headstock so that the instrument is always ideally balanced whether played on a strap or on the lap. Gibson '80s Tribute humbucker with flexible switching In terms of sound, the Gibson Victory with its two Gibson '80s Tribute humbuckers is ideally equipped for hot hard rock and heavy metal sounds. In order to elicit the greatest possible variety of sounds from the two humbuckers in the iconic zebra look, the Victory offers a particularly efficiently designed circuit: the push/pull function of the common volume control allows both pickups to be switched to coil split mode, while the switching function of the Master Tone determines the active coils and switches between inner and outer coils.
