On the website of Ferrari Spumanti di Trento it says: "a mosaic of zero-dosage vintage wines that express the essence of mountain Chardonnay". We are talking about Perlé Zero, one of the most popular TrentoDocs from the beautiful winery on the outskirts of Trento, produced from pure Chardonnay vines. Vineyards, in the mountains, owned by the Lunelli family, on the slopes of the Trentino mountains. The peculiarity of this bubbly is that although the label shows a vintage, it is not a vintage sparkling wine, i.e. made only from grapes from that specific harvest. On the contrary, in this case, each Ferrari Perlé Zero cuvée is the result of a blend of all the previous vintages, stored in the cellar and aged in steel, wood or glass. Once bottled, the Perlé cuvée matures for a minimum of 6 years on the lees before disgorging. A unique and irresistible Trentodoc, Ferrari Perlé reveals a refined, intense straw yellow perlage, enveloped in shimmering golden reflections. The nose is first characterised by extreme cleanliness, with notes of grapefruit, ginger root and fresh pineapple that soon give way to hints of herbs and cumin. In the mouth it is dry, savoury and dynamic. Pleasantly enveloping, it slowly fades into a long, savoury aromatic persistence. A precise, deep and elegant sip.
